Swingtime Center was designed by Melton Luttrell for square and round danceing, and was funded by John & Jo Catherine Cox. It was opened for the first dance in December of 1974. In 1991, it was purchased by CASUL, Inc., a corporation formed by square and round dancers. Swingtime Center is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors representing each club dancing at Swingtime Center. CASUL, Inc. maintains Swingtime Center for the benefit of square and round dancing.
